About

I was born and raised in Rome and moved to the United States at eighteen to play college football and study business. I still work between the two. Miami and Rome are both home, and the business runs across both.

The move is the thing that shaped how I work

Arriving somewhere you do not fully understand and having to become useful quickly is a specific skill. You learn to ask better questions, to notice what people are not saying, and to stop assuming your own way is the default.

In procurement and logistics, where most problems are really communication problems between parties who each think the other should already know something, that turns out to be the whole job.

How I think about the work

Systems over heroics

A process that depends on one person remembering something is not a process. Most operational firefighting is the symptom of a design failure further upstream.

Landed cost, not unit cost

The cheapest quote is frequently the most expensive shipment. Freight, duty, delay and rework are where the margin actually goes.

Documentation is the product

In international trade the paperwork is the transaction. Getting it right is not administrative overhead, it is the job.
